Dental Insurance

As you may be aware, the Vermont Retail Association began offering a Northeast Delta Dental dental plan to its members on May 1, 2007. We are approaching our first anniversary with Northeast Delta Dental, May 1, 2008, and we are pleased to be expanding our program to offer an additional plan that increases the annual maximum to $1,500 and includes orthodontic benefits. Additionally, the Vermont Retail Association and Northeast Delta Dental are pleased to announce that the following upgrades will be included in both plans beginning May 1, 2008:

Coverage for a cleaning four times in any period of twelve consecutive months (Routine or periodontal cleanings in any combination).
An additional fluoride treatment (total of two) will be added for children to age nineteen during a period of twelve consecutive months.
Sealant benefits have been extended for children to age nineteen with replacements allowed every three years.
In Coverage C (Major Restorative) services, coverage for implants has been added to your plan.

This will include the surgical placement of an endosteal implant body and the healing cap.

An additional benefit for all Northeast Delta Dental subscribers and their dependents is a free vision discount program through EyeMed Vision CareSM. The program offers up to 35% savings at participating EyeMed providers. Just show your Delta Dental identification card to access vision savings. To locate a provider, go to www.nedelta.com.

Northeast Delta Dental’s network of Participating Providers includes 88% of all dentists in Vermont and three out of four dentists throughout the nation. These dentists cannot bill the patient for balances above Northeast Delta Dental’s approved amount, agree to submit claims to Northeast Delta Dental on behalf of the patient, and will not require payment of covered amounts at the time of treatment. Even with the vast majority of dentists participating with Delta Dental, there is no limit to dentist selection; members are free to receive treatment from any dentist they choose and will still receive benefits.
